You’ve Helped Plant 2,010 Trees by using our Carbon Neutral Tape!

You’re helping to plant even more trees!

We’re pleased to announce that as at September 2025, you’ve helped to plant 2,010 trees by using our Carbon Neutral Packing Tape.

This is great news, and really helps make a difference in having a more sustainable and carbon neutral packaging environment. In fact, our Carbon Neutral Tape is also made from recycled materials, but we also offset the carbon released during the manufacture, transportation and waste disposal of the tape.

We do this by partnering with an international carbon offset scheme, and the work with them on their certified climate-regenerative projects around the world.

Carbon offsetting is the process of funding projects that reduce or remove greenhouse gas emissions to compensate for one’s own emissions, in order to achieve a net zero carbon footprint.

So far, we’ve offset approximately 335T of CO2, enough to enable 2,010 trees to be planted in reforestation projects. All of us at our Wessex locations around the UK are delighted that together we’re making such a positive contribution by the use of our Carbon Neutral Tape.

We’ve also created another great benefit with our Carbon Neutral Tape, as each roll is 150m long.

This is significantly longer than many standard packing tapes, and is a huge 127% more than a 66m roll! This means that by using our Carbon Neutral Tape you are using recycled materials, helping to plant trees, and getting greater value (with less downtime in having to change rolls).

You can find our Carbon Neutral Tape here. Each roll of tape is 48mm wide and 150m long, and available in packs of 36.

Using a globally certified programme, each tonne of carbon absorbed from the atmosphere constitutes a carbon credit or carbon offset. To make sure these credits are legitimate, they have to be approved by independent groups which make sure the project is actually making a positive impact on the environment and wouldn’t have happened without the project. The certified programme that we use at Wessex Packaging also does extra work to make sure everything is legitimate.
