Wessex Packaging Team Celebrate 60 Years!

Three of the Wessex Packaging team are celebrating a total of 60 years with the company!

Andy Newman, Matt Rowe and Elliot Card were presented with long service awards by Mark Barter, Wessex’s Managing Director (pictured far left).

Andy, Matt and Elliot are all part of the Operations Team, and are key players in delivering our hugely successful On Time In Full (OTIF) score of 99.52%!

From our 75k sq ft National Distribution Centre, based in Yeovil, Somerset, the team are all experts in ensuring that our customers across the UK have the packaging supplies and machines that they need to keep their supply chains running.

If you’re up early and about in the Bristol and South Wales areas, then you may see Andy, (second from left), delivering to customer in one of our distinctive yellow lorries. Always with a smile on his face, Andy is not only well known and trusted by many our customers across the region, he’s treated by many as an integral part of their own teams.

Matt, (second from right), is definitely one of our ‘clever packaging people’ with a vast knowledge of the many thousands of products that we have in stock. Ask Matt for the location of a product in our warehouse, and he’ll know! He helps ensure the smooth running of all our packaging products as they come in and then go out to customers – keeping us all on our toes on a daily basis! Matt is also an avid Liverpool fan…but we won’t start that discussion here!

Finally, Elliot (on right in picture) is someone who means business! He’s a 3rd Dan Black Belt Taekwondo, so we don’t argue with him! At Wessex, Elliot is our fulfilment expert, ensuring that all our ecommerce orders and courier deliveries are picked, packed and dispatched for next day delivery. Always helpful, Elliot will go the extra mile to make sure our customers across the UK get high quality packaging supplies as soon as possible, and is part of the reason Wessex Packaging received 5 star Google reviews.

Each of the team have been part of the Wessex team for at least 20 years, and received awards to help celebrate their milestones.
