Wessex Packaging Group Expands in the US

The Wessex group of packaging companies continues to grow with further expansion in North America.

Compack USA, the sister company of Wessex Packaging, has just opened a new distribution centre in California. This 170,000-square-foot distribution centre is now the fourth location for Compack, with others located in Oregon, Pennsylvania and Georgia.

Headquartered in Portland, Compack has experienced significant growth, going from supplying logistics packaging to businesses in the Pacific Northwest, to working with some of the largest 3PL, warehousing, ecommerce and distribution brands across the US.

Compack’s new logistics packaging warehouse location in Moreno Valley, CA is located close to Interstate 215, and will serve customers based in both Northern and Southern California, Arizona and other South Western states. Compack is in good company with this new distribution centre, as companies such as Amazon, Deckers, Aldi, USPS, Home Depot and Walgreen’s all have facilities in the area.

Founded by Doug Barter in 2013, Compack specialises in protective packaging, stretch wrap and eco-friendly transit packaging, serving the logistics and ecommerce industries throughout the US. With over 50 years of packaging experience in the Compack team, they are experts in providing packaging solutions to increase productivity and enhance site safety. Compack have a range of auto-strapping machines, stretch wrap turntable machines, robotic pallet wrappers and paper void fill machines. They have recently added the ErgoStrap pallet strapping machine range to their portfolio, giving clients the opportunity to move away from awkward manual pallet strapping to a more ergonomic, easy and efficient method. Wessex Packaging is also an official distributor for ErgoPack (as it is known in the UK).
