Stretch hooding systems streamline production lines by applying a singular tubular film over the pallet, stretching it securely without the need for heat. It is considered a hybrid between stretch wrapping and shrink wrapping, as it has the strength of stretch film but is able to fully seal and protects items from external factors in one step.
As a result of its unique properties, the combination of vertical and horizontal forces is greater which tightly secures pallets so products stabilised in transit or storage. It also makes the film very versatile, allowing it to adapt easily to different pallet sizes, shapes and load types. This makes stretch hooding ideal for across a wide range of industries wrapping irregular or unstable products, such as food, beverages and construction materials.
In addition to its strength and versatility, it is offers great transparency with reduced wrinkles, giving every pallets a clean, professional appearance, making it easier to read and scan barcodes and labels.
By applying the wrap in a single step, stretch hood machines improve productivity and reduces downtime of film changes. With just one roll alone, the system can wrap approximately between 800 to 1,00 pallets continuously, ensuring increased efficiency and high throughput.

Secura-SH1 Stretch Hood is a modular hood wrapping system that wraps pallets by applying a tubular film that stretches over the goods.
The versatility of this film allows it to conform to the shape or size of the load, fully sealing it with a single layer, covering right from the top and down to the base.
Total protection is achieved with this due to its multilayer MLLDPE (linear low density polyethylene) properties, which is resistant to water, moisture, dust and UV rays.
Alongside protection, it secures and stabilises pallets to prevent shifting, falling or breakage during transport. The combination of vertical and horizontal contraction forces during the stretch hooding, offers greater stability to the pallet, than pallet wrapping machines.
Even with the greater force capability the consumables are cut by around 50%, as it only uses the exact amount of film needed and does not require multiple layers like stretch wrap systems do.

However, unlike shrink film, the Stretch Hooder does not use heat instead it stretches the film like a PowerWrapper and adjusts it to the load.
