Automatic Pallet Strapping Machines for End-of-Line Packaging
Here at Wessex Packaging we supply automatic in-line pallet strapping machines from Innova Group as the UK’s official distributor. These systems provide a reliable and efficient solution for securing palletised loads within in-line packaging operations.
Engineered to deliver high preforming automation, for apply consistent hold and controlled tension that firmly secures goods for safe storage and during transport.
The fully automated design allows the strapping machines to be integrated into end-of-line processes, to improve productivity and reduce manual handling. This helps reduce the risk of of operator injuries while ensuring more consistent and reliable strapping results, further reducing potential damage or disruption in shipping.
With the latest packaging technology, these strapping machines are able to increase productivity and safety while supporting sustainable operations by optimising the material being used.
There are two types of systems available, vertical and horizontal strapping, that can be tailored to suit different pallet load requirements.
Vertical strapping machines secure the load directly onto the pallet, anchoring the load and reducing the risk of shifting.
Horizontal strapping applies the straps around the sides of the pallet, which helps to compact the load as well as enhancing pallet stability.
Vertical Strapper
(2 sides)
A vertical strapping machine that secures loads onto the pallet from top to bottom. It improves stability and safety during transport.
Vertical Strapper
(4 sides) with turntable
A larger version of the vertical strapper that includes a turntable, allowing the load to rotate for 4-sided strapping.
Horizontal Strapper
(2 columns)
An in-line machine designed to strap around the sides of the palletised goods to hold them together and reduce movement.
Horizontal Strapper
with compaction
A more robust horizontal system that includes a compaction feature to pre-centre and compact the load, before strapping.
Secure your load to the pallet!
The most common in-line strapping machine used to secure products directly to the pallet.
This entry-level vertical strapping will reduce the risk of loads shifting in transport, by securing goods directly to the base of the pallet.
It is ideally suited to small to medium operations and is designed to strap 2 sides efficiently. Despite its compact application it can process up to 40 pallets per hour, helping to increase productivity.
This machine is compatible with both polypropylene (PP) and polyester (PET) strapping. Giving you the flexibility to choose the most suitable material based on your load type, required strength and application.
Straps can be sealed using a verity of methods, including vibration and friction welding, resistance welding or ultrasonic welding, allowing you to choose the best option for you.

Secured on all sides
This vertical strapper Pro allows you to strap on all 4 sides of the load, giving greater stability and support for handling and transport.
Similar to the previous automated vertical strapper, this machine offers maximum hold due to its 4-sided strapping capability.
This is thanks to its 90° rotation system, allowing the machine to strap in multiple directions.
It is ideal for warehouse operations handling unstable or fragile loads that require greater support.
Vertical strapping is best suited for tall stacks, stacked boxes and other high loads as it secures the goods directly to the pallet.
These machines can be easily integrated into existing conveyor systems or new lines.

Simple and compact
To compact and secure boxes, cartons and pallets for better safety to prevent shifting.
Our horizontal strapping machines provide automated solution for securing loads around the sides of pallets, to prevent slipping or shifting during transport.
This 2-column model has a lighter compact structure making it ideal for space-restricted areas.
It can handle most common Euro and industrial pallet sizes and is particularly effective for strapping stacked cartons and palletised goods where vertical strapping alone isn’t enough.
The horizontal strapper ensures consistent tension and accurate placement making it suited for bulk loads.
It is highly effective at stabilising layers of boxes by securing them tightly together, and holding them in place throughout handling and transit.

The choice for high throughput.
Compacts loads for more accurate strapping, to give more stability in transport.
This automatic horizontal pallet strapping machine includes compacter that pre-centres the load and applies consistent pressure, removing the gaps in-between products for improved safety.
As a result, it is ideal for stacks of boxes, boards, bricks, and other unstable or irregular pallets loads. By holding these items firmly in place it prevents these loads from separating, bulging, or crushing, causing damage in transport and storage.
It is 4 column anti-vibration frame provides extra stability, making it well suited to high-speed, and heavy-duty production lines.
This model is larger, and more ridged version of the 2-column horizontal strapper, and helps maintain alignment across every palletized load.
Automated horizontal strapping can also be configured to adapt to any pallet size, position, or number of straps needed.

FAQ
As the names suggest the main difference is the placement of the strapping, the vertical strapping machine straps the load directly to the base of the pallet anchoring it, whereas the horizontal strapper straps around the sides of the pallet holding goods together.
A vertical strapper holds everything together as one block and is particularly good for high loads, stacked boxes and heavy cargo. Horizontal strapping on the other hand is mainly for containment and shape retention that prevents products from shifting outward and causing damage in shipment. It is best for lose bundled items such as boxes and cartons, bricks, timbers etc.
Yes. Automated pallet strapping systems significantly improves safety for both operators and products in end-of-line packaging.
By eliminating the need for manual handling during the strapping process, automation reduces the risk of musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs). For example, back strain, repetitive stress injuries and fatigue are reduced which creates a safer and more efficient working environment.
Automated strapping also improves load stability and security. Consistent strap tension ensures that pallets remain tight which reduces the risk of loads shifting or collapsing during transport. This not only protects products from damage but also minimises the risk of injury to workers handling the pallets throughout the supply chain.
Horizontal strapping straps the pallets around the sides (horizontally) and is mainly used to compress bundled items to remove gaps and separation between them. This gives pallets greater stability and prevents them from bulging or crashing in shipment or storage.
One of its uses is to hold multiple boxes together as a single unit which make it easier to move, and less likely to shift on conveyors or in shipping reducing injury risks.
Automated horizontal strapping applies consistent tension and allows the position and number of straps to be configured to adapt to the size of the pallet.
Fully automated horizontal strapping is particularly beneficial for compressing bundled goods such as cardboard boxes, boards, bricks, or unstable and irregular shaped pallets.
It prevents these loads from bulging, crushing or separating which could cause damage in transport or storage.
Yes. All of these strapping machines both vertical and horizontal systems can be integrated into existing end-of-line packaging to improve the productivity of your packaging.
They can also be added to new projects and conveyor lines with additional infeed system.
