How Wessex Packaging is preparing for the outcome of Brexit.
Following the EU’s agreement on the weekend of the UK’s withdrawal plan, I want to take the opportunity to let you know what my team and I here at Wessex Packaging, are doing to ensure we continue to deliver the best possible service and products to you as the UK prepares to leave the EU on 29 March next year.
As a company we recognise the risks still posed by Brexit in the event of a potential no-deal scenario, and have taken the following steps to mitigate the impact to our business and our customers.
We are already familiar with customs procedures and will be able to extend this to all imports if necessary.
In the event of any goods no longer being available from the EU, we will be able to source from another country.
2. Stockholding – we carry extensive stocks of up to 3 months of many standard items which means that availability will not be affected if lead times become extended or goods are detained in customs.
3. Team – as a company we ensure we keep up to date and fully compliant with any recruitment and/or employment law changes, and will continue to do so in line with any new regulations that may come into force.
As the situation becomes clearer, I will continue to let you know of any updates that may affect our operations. Our latest news can be found on our website, as well as social media and our e-newsletters, but do please contact me if there is anything I can help with.
