Health & Safety Success for ErgoPack in Manchester!

Visitors to the Safety, Health & Wellbeing Live show in Manchester gave our ErgoPack strapping machines a very positive reception last week.

The show, which was held in the Manchester Central conference and events space on 22nd and 23rd January 2025, was a must-visit for Occupational Health, Safety and Continuous Improvement professionals.

Many manufacturing, logistics, healthcare, retail and specialist industry managers and consultants visited the ErgoPack stand to see the strapping machine being demonstrated.

These visitors recognised that there are instances where warehouse teams are awkwardly bending, stretching and walking around a pallet, when they are manually trying to strap it to secure products for storage or transportation. The ease with which a person can strap a pallet using an ErgoPack machine was clearly demonstrated, and showed that the operator can do this whilst standing in one position.

The teams from Wessex Packaging and Manchester-based MorsaPack were on Stand FC58 to show the strapping machine to visitors to SHW Live, to answer questions and to arrange free on-site demos of ErgoPack at visitors’ own locations.

With hundreds of visitors to the show, many were interested in showing the ErgoPack ergonomic strapping machines to their own warehouse teams and took videos of the machine in action to share on WhatsApp and social media. They also asked about ErgoPack on YouTube, so they can see the machine in other situations.

ErgoPack is shown to be a solution that many operations and logistics teams don’t even know they have!

Let’s assume that in the process of securing products to pallets in a business, 100 strapping cycles are done on a daily basis. This means that in practice, the workers involved have to bend over 50,000 times and walk around the pallets 25,000 times per year! This can lead to back pain and strain, which in turn leads to absence from work and lost days productivity.

Using an ErgoPack machine in this situation can help employees be fitter, free from back pain, more satisfied, motivated and more efficient.
