ErgoPack pallet strapping success at IntraLogisteX

With visitors crowding to see the machine in action, ErgoPack was a sure-fire success at IntraLogisteX!

The ErgoPack team was back at IntraLogisteX, the warehouse solutions trade show, at the NEC Birmingham, for the sixth consecutive year.

On a very busy stand the ErgoPack and Wessex Packaging team demonstrated the ErgoPack 713X machine, showing how it can strap a pallet ergonomically, easily and efficiently.

It was interesting to see the white snaking ChainLance, that feeds the pallet strapping through and over the pallet, catch the attention of many visitors.

This simple, and intriguing, mechanism is what helps make an ErgoPack mobile pallet strapping machine so much easier and more ergonomic than manually having to strap a pallet.

Many visitors to the ErgoPack stand confessed that their warehouse and logistics teams were still pushing strips of strapping through the base of a pallet using a broom handle or random piece of wood! This awkward, and potentially dangerous, method of getting the strapping to go around the pallet, can be a cause of back strain and ache, which can lead to absenteeism due to ill health.

During the demonstrations of ErgoPack at the IntraLogisteX exhibition, the fasted time take to put a strap around a pallet was just 19 seconds – and this included a friction weld seal of the strapping! This shows how efficient using an ErgoPack machine can be to secure a load to a pallet, as well as being ergonomic and easy to use.
