EcoVadis Awards Wessex Packaging Sustainability Medal

EcoVadis has awarded Wessex Packaging with a Bronze Sustainability Medal for our on-going sustainability commitment across the business.

As the world’s largest and most trusted provider of business sustainability ratings, EcoVadis has a global network of more than 100,000 rated companies. The Bronze Medal and overall score awarded to Wessex Packaging places us in the top third of companies rated by EcoVadis.

The EcoVadis rating is an evaluation of how well a company has integrated the principles of sustainability into their business and management system and illustrates performance across 21 indicators and four themes: Environment, Labour and Human Rights, Ethics and Sustainable Procurement.

EcoVadis recognised the work that the team at Wessex Packaging have achieved to date, including: their sustainable procurement policy; reducing energy consumption by introducing LED lighting; reducing carbon emissions and optimising fleet efficiency through the introduction of electric and hybrid vehicles; and the training on health and safety, discrimination and diversity, and best working practices.

EcoVadis re-accreditation takes place annually and the team here at Wessex Packaging is working on refining and improving processes and capabilities, on our journey towards net zero in our operations, and towards the next EcoVadis tier.
