DPRTE | Farnborough 26th-27th March 2025

We’ll be exhibiting ErgoPack at one of the UK’s leading defence industry trade shows, DPRTE, in Farnborough on 26th and 27th March.

DPRTE (Defence Procurement Research Technology and Exportability) brings together the defence procurement community. DPRTE connects buyers and suppliers from across the defence procurement and supply chain community – worth more than £37bn+ annually.

Defence industry buyers attending DPRTE will be able to meet leading suppliers, who are delivering a diverse range of innovative products and services that can support both current and future procurement requirements.

The team here at Wessex Packaging, and our sister company A&A Packaging (based in Horndean, near Portsmouth), will be demonstrating our ErgoPack ergonomic pallet strapping machines on Stand 121 at DPRTE.

Our mobile ErgoPack strapping machines are already in use with the MOD, the RAF, and many of the UK’s leading logistics companies and manufacturers. They are an ideal solution to help secure loads to pallets etc, in the defence industry supply chain.

For any logistics teams who are still using a manual method to put PET strapping around a pallet of goods, this can be awkward and time-consuming. Using an ErgoPack machine allows the operator to strap a pallet twice in under 60 seconds, without having to bend, stretch or walk around the pallet. This makes the process safer, more ergonomic and more efficient.

For visitors to DPRTE who operate in the defence industry and are involved in the storage or transportation of good on pallets or in totes, seeing an ErgoPack strapping machine being demonstrated would be extremely useful. Our ErgoPack Experts will be on Stand 121 to show how the machine can secure your goods in your supply chain. This will help load stability whilst in transit, security and dispatch process efficiency.

An ErgoPack machine can be used on all sizes of pallets and can strap up to heights of 2.3m, and uses touchscreen technology to set the pallet dimensions and the tensioning of the sealing head. The ErgoPack 700X LI model is powered by a lithium battery and can strap up to 1,200 times on one charge, making it long-lasting and flexible in a warehouse location.
