Amazon.co.uk fulfilment helped by ErgoPack

All of Amazon’s UK fulfilment centres use ErgoPack machines to help in their logistics process, and this week ErgoPack Founder and CEO, Andreas Kimmerle, has been to visit Amazon in Coventry and Manchester.

Andreas, pictured on the right above with our resident UK ErgoPack expert, Simon Watt, flew in from ErgoPack HQ in Lauingen, Germany.

Visiting Amazon’s BHX4 Coventry site first, Andreas and Simon worked with Amazon’s fulfilment teams to show them the ease with which they can strap plastic tote boxes securely together so that they can be moved througout the fulfilment centre.

The ErgoPack machines are uniquely designed to allow operators to strap pallets with banding, without having to bend, stretch or walk around the pallet itself. This enables products on the pallets to easily be strapped twice in under 60 seconds, and improves the downtime and well-being of the operator, by them not having to do it manually.

Andreas and Simon then moved onto Amazon’s Manchester MAN1 fulfilment centre to help Amazon’s operations team there to maximise their pallet strapping efficiency.
